The band was formed in 2011 with a unique style in which all four members are vocalists and guitarists. The folk quartet THE DEKITS (read: The Dekits) consists of Keishi 'KC' Tanaka (ex. RIDDIM SAUNTER), Masatomo 'MAURICE' Yoshizawa (YOUR SONG IS GOOD), Syuta-low 'TGMX' Tagami (FRONTIER BACKYARD), Kazuhide 'TK' Takamoto (COMEBACK MY DAUGHTERS), and others, released their debut EP 7-inch in July of the same year and performed at FUJI ROCK FESTIVAL '11 in their first year. In August 2024, to celebrate the band's restart after their first live performance in about five years, their first full album 'DE KIT 4 KEY'S' (DK4/released December 7, 2011) will be re-released on cassette! It contains a total of 12 songs, mainly light and upper country folk and acoustic ska numbers that you'll want to listen to in various everyday situations. The artwork for this work is also by 'MAURICE', and has a stylish and pop finish.
