The Dutch Tool Chest, as popularized by Chris Schwarz, employs a hinge designed for mounting with straps on the underside of the lid, while the second strap is affixed to the chest's exterior. These hinges are specifically crafted for this installation, based on a design I created for one of Chris's early Dutch tool chests. The longer lid strap measures 12", and the shorter chest strap is 6 1/2". They are forged from 1/8" x 1" steel and come with matching slotted flat head screws. Additionally, this set includes a hasp designed for use on this style of chest.
