From the Manufacturer The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey Expandable Card Game, a competitive game for 2-4 players, is the first release in Cryptozoic's The Middle-earth Expandable Card Game series. This game includes four decks of cards - two for heroes and two for villains - and each player has his own deck during play, with the cards being used to perform deeds, confront encounters and earn the "Story Points" needed for victory. The cards in The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey Expandable Card Game share the same back as those in The Lord of the Rings Expandable Card Game so that they can be mixed to allow for customizable decks.
- Play as Bilbo Baggins, Gandalf, Thorin Oakenshield, or others. Features over 200 cards, each with images from the hit movie!
- Each Hero has a unique special ability that will open up different strategies to the player.
- When a new Archenemy arrives, it hits all players with a dangerous Group Attack. Defend yourself!
