Russian Rainbow Iridescent Pyrite Nodule Geode Crystal Cluster Natural Metallic

Gorgeous, fully natural iridescent rainbow pyrite encrusted septarian (siderite concretion) nodule from the Volga River, Ulyanovsk Oblast, Russia. These concretions occur in clays that have undergone shrinkage, where cracks will appear following dehydration that fill with transforming minerals. Septarians usually calcite, and pyrite is a rare occurrence. This raw, collector’s grade specimen features an open geode slice in which all sides are heavily covered in lustrous, rainbow iridescent golden pyrite crystals. Incredibly detailed, the terminated, metallic pyrite crystals create a druzy sparkle in the light to this Russian gem. A 360 display piece with colorful sparkle all around! Measures approx 6 by 5.5 by 4.2 cm and weighs 93 grams.
