Rare U.S. Marshals Service – Special Operations Group (SOG) commemorative badge, individually numbered #58, issued for the 30th Anniversary (1971–2001). Crafted by G.R. Davis Ltd., this badge features a gold five-point star inset with black enamel and the USMS SOG emblem.
This was not a duty-issued badge — it was a limited production commemorative available for purchase by members of the Special Operations Group. Comes with original velvet pouch.
Provenance: From the personal collection of an SOG Task Force Commander and Special Operations Group Instructor who joined the U.S. Marshals in 1978 and served 16 years in SOG. He helped build and establish the SOG Training Center and Tactical Range at Camp Beauregard, Louisiana, in the early 1980s.
