Absolutely stunning Susan Brown Freeman Blue and Brown Incised Pottery Ball Short Neck Vase- Signed. This beautiful Susan Brown Freeman hand thrown short neck ball vase. Very intricate carved incised leaf and floral designs on exterior glaze with speckled tan, brown and aqua. This piece is in excellent condition with no cracks or chips.

Susan Brown Freeman(1951-) was born in Portsmouth, Virginia. She first studied pottery making at Austin College, Sherman, Texas in her junior year. Later, Susan studied with Charles Counts at the Rising Fawn Pottery of Georgia. After her studies with Counts, she pursued an apprenticeship with him to support his studio production. Her works from experience are pots thrown to amazing tight gauge, where floral decoration and reticulation of the surfaces are an important theme. Susan's work was featured in a very
