Vintage Yamaha YP-D8 Stereo Turntable

One of Yamaha's top-of-the-line direct drive turntables, the YP-D8 is Yamaha Premier turntable.

First, it's heavy -- a 6 lb platter and solid wood plinth tells you this is a serious effort. That weight means music has pace and dynamics cheaper plastic turntables can never reproduce. Equally important is an extremely nice tonearm with adjustments that include VTAF (vertical tracking angle on the fly). This permits fine tuning the cartridge to the record with top-level precision.

The powerful, high torque motor with precise servo control ensure the speed is always spot on. Of course there's the wonderful real Ebony wood veneer too. The tonearm automatically lifts at the end of a record and shuts off. In fact, everything works as it's supposed to and is in like new, excellent condition.

Lastly, the clean lines, design and beauty of this turntable are unsurpassed.
